Day by Day Details Itinerary

Day 1 : Delhi

Arrive Delhi, Transfer to Hotel. Evening leisure & rest. Evening transfer to railway station to board the train to Kathgodam. Overnight in train.

 Day 2 : Drive Kathgodam – Nainital (35 km)

Early morning from Kathgodam transfer to the Nainital Hotel. Check in at the Hotel in Nainital. Royal Enfield motorbikes are waiting for you there. Afternoon briefing about the programme and road habits of driving in Himalayas. Evening go for a short ride. Overnight in Nainital.

Day 3 : Ride Nainital - Almora (64 km)

This is the first riding day for the Royal Enfield Tour in Himalayas, today we will conduct a slow and relaxed pace. With short distance to cover, Nainital to Almora is good broad road. Great day to learn the traffic rules, the roads, drivers, surprises, motorcycle, driving on the left ... And start to get excited. Overnight in Almora.

Day 4 : In Almora

This ancient hill station is reputed for its health giving climate and is perched on a five Km. long horse saddle shape ridge in between the river Kosi and Suyal and has been a cultural and political region of Kumaun for almost four hundred years, settled by Chand Rajas and nurtured by the British. One can have a panoramic view of the snowy peaks of Himalayas on any clear day and in addition a glimpse of the township with its tiled roofed houses and paved streets would take you to the sixteenth century in some thoughtful moment. Evening back to Almora.Overnight stay at the hotel.

Day 5 : Ride Almora – Kausani (enroute)- Gwaldam (83 km)

Today we will drive uphill from Almora to Gwaldam and enroute we will drive past the Kausani town which is situated in the Bageshwar district of the Uttarakhand state of India. Kausani is the Himalayan tourist destination,, the altitude of this place is about 1890 mts. This place Offers an excellent 350 km view of the Himalayan peaks like Trisul, Nanda Devi and Panchchuli. There are very few places in the Himalayas which can compare with the beauty of Kausani - A picturesque hill station famous for its scenic splendor and its spectacular 300 km-wide panoramic view of the Himalayas. Kausani lies on the atop the ridge admist dense Pine trees overlooking Someshwar valley on one side and Garur and Baijnath Katyuri valley on the other.Mahatma Gandhi called this place the 'Switzerland of India', due to similarity in landscape.Reach Gwaldam in evening. Gwaldam is situated between Garhwal and Kumaon region of Uttaranchal and it is still quite untouched in its natural beauty and it has River Pindari flowing through it, This small hamlet is one of nature's paradise, Drive past through Tea Gardens. Night halt at Gwaldam.

Day 6 : Ride Gwaldam - Karanprayag (68 km)

Today we will enter into the high rise area. We watched them afar from the peaks and they begin to accompany us more and more closely above, Way up into the climbs high above the river channel called "Alkneneda". An amazing ride ! Karanprayag is also a holy place in itself, it is one of the five confluences and it is the confluence of Holy River Alaknanda and River Pindari, this town is surrounded by Nanda Devi, and Glittering peaks of Trisul, Dronagiri and Maiktoli. the legend says that "Karna of Mahabharata meditated here for many years to acquire the impregnable shield, which made him a formidable warrior in the battlefield" and Swami Vivekananda also meditated here. There are many places to visit of tourist interest in Karnaprayag like: Urma Devi Temple, Nauti Village. All of these places are well known tourist spots in Karnaprayag Uttarakhand India. Uma Devi Temple: Uma Devi Temple and Karna Temple are one of the major attractions of Karnaprayag. Karnaprayag is named after Karna of Mahabharata. Karna worshipped Sun God here to acquire impregnable shield. After a cycle of twelve years, Goddess Uma idol is taken out in a grand procession to her maternal place at Dimmer village. The temple holds esteemed importance for the locals. Nauti Village: It is the inaugural point of the greatest and longest Nanda Devi Raj Jat Yatra. The yatra is one of the longest pilgrimage tour covered by foot into the strenuous path endowing profuse natural beauteousness which can leave anyone spellbound. The yatra is done once in 12 years. The Nauti village is said to be the home of Goddess Nanda. This yatra was last completed in the year 2000 and next is going to commence in 2012. Overnight at Karnaprayag.

Day 7 : Ride Karnaprayag – Josimath (81 km)

Morning ride from Karnaprayag to Josimath, climbing up the valley to Josimath at 3400 m. Joshimath is the winter seat of lord Badrinath. Joshimath is derived from Jyotirmath - the seat of Adi Guru Shankaracharya. The 4km long ropeway connecting Joshimth to Auli is the longest ropeway in Asia, go up by cable car to ski at Auli. Overnight stay at Auli.

Day 8 : Ride Josimath - Srinagar (155 km)

Today we will drive back to Srinagar on Alaknanda River Valley. Ride continues with the river. Another wild day in the Himalayas. Reach Srinagar. Night halt at Srinagar.

Day 9 : Ride Srinagar - Uttarkashi (160 km)

This Drive is on open landscape, valleys, fields, open green spaces ..., twisting mountains and valleys. Towards evening we reach Uttarkashi - its provincial capital entrance gate for Gangotri the Source of River Ganga. Uttarkashi is a destination that holds something for everyone. It is a trekker's paradise, a pilgrim's dream come true, and nature lover's dream destination. Overnight at Uttarkashi.

Day 10: In Uttarkashi

Today we will explore Uttarkashi and nearby places . Situated at an elevation of 1150 Mts. above sea-leval on the bank of river Bhagirathi. Maneri: On way to Gangotri at a distance of about 13 kms. from Uttarkashi, Maneri has lately emerged as a place of tourist interest as a result of the construction of a dam across the Bhagirathi river, from where the water is fed to the turbines through an 8 kms. long tunnel at Tiloth in Uttarkashi. The resultant lake at Maneri has added to the charm of the place. Gangnani: Further up on way to Gangotri about 37 kms. from Maneri, is the hot water spring at Gangnani where one can have a refreshing bath.Overnight stay at Uttarkashi

Day 11: Ride Uttarkashi - Mussoorie (140 km)

Drive to Mussoorie a small town developed by Britishers, this town is immersed in the greenery around and looking out on the highest peaks from where we have returned, ride to Mussoorie via Kempty fall. This hill station, situated in the foothills of the Himalaya ranges, is also known as the Queen of Hill Stations, Being at an average altitude of 2,000 meters (6,600 ft), Mussoorie has varied flora and fauna and is a fascinating hill resort. Overnight at Mussoorie.

Day 12 : Ride Mussoorie - Rishikesh (80 km)

Morning ride from Mussoorie to Rishikesh. It is real fun with broad and good roads and, our last stop with motorcycles. check in at the hotel. Overnight at Hotel in Rishikesh.

Day 13: In Rishikesh

Rishikesh is a town very special and holy. Thousands of pilgrims travellers and tourists visit it every day, it is nick named as the world capital of Yoga it has numerous yoga centres and it is believed that meditation in Rishikesh brings one closer to attainment of Moksha. Rishikesh is also home to the 120-year old Kailash Ashram Brahmavidyapeetham, an institution dedicated to preserve and promote the traditional Vedantic Studies. Prominent personalities such as Swami Vivekananda, Swami Rama Tirtha and Swami Shivananda have studied in this institution. Rishikesh is also famous for River rafting and adventure sports like Bungee Jumping learn yoga. It's time to relax with a glass background Tea corner, Tanning at Silver sandy beaches, Indian food at good restaurants and body massages to restore "the situation" back to normal. Rest and relax.

Day 14: Drive Rishikesh - Haridwar the Train to Delhi

Early morning pick up from the hotel and drive to Haridwar Railway Station for board the train to Delhi. Arrive Delhi and transfer to the air port
